UPMC Hosts Vaccine Clinic at Pittsburgh Mills Mall

UPMC administered more than 8,000 first doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine this week at a drive-up clinic at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills held in partnership with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Vaccinations were available over the span of two days for those who had registered in advance and for those without appointments.

Prior to the CDC and FDA’s announcement earlier this week, UPMC planned to administer the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine at Pittsburgh Mills. The health system was able to accommodate the scheduled appointments and walk-ins by instead offering the Pfizer vaccine. A second Pfizer dose is required for individuals to be considered fully vaccinated.

All adults in Pennsylvania over the age of 16 are now eligible to receive a vaccination. Visit Vaccine.UPMC.com to schedule a vaccine appointment at UPMC.
