UPMC‘s Palliative and Supportive Institute (PSI) has won the silver award at the Fine Awards for Teamwork Excellence in Health Care, an annual event sponsored by the Fine Foundation and the Jewish Healthcare Foundation.
The award was presented during a Nov. 21 ceremony at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture. The theme of this year’s awards was “Care at the End of Life.”
PSI aims to ensure high-quality, coordinated care for patients with serious illness and to improve the quality of life for them and their families. The institute also provides education, training and technical assistance for health care professionals.
