Donna Durant, CRNP, UPMC Presbyterian, Division of General Internal Medicine, Palliative Medicine and Medical Ethics, has received the Advanced Practice RN Nightingale Award.

The Nightingale Awards of Pennsylvania promotes careers in nursing by recognizing exemplary nurses and providing nursing scholarships at all levels. Donna is one of only 17 award recipients recognized at this year’s gala in Harrisburg.

Donna bring dedication, compassion, and expertise to her work and UPMC’s nurse well-being initiatives. Her leadership makes a difference for our patients and colleagues every day.

“This isn’t a solo award. It happens as we collectively work together towards nursing excellence, patient-centered care, and bringing evidence-based practice to the bedside,” Donna said, “I’m grateful to work within our Palliative Care Division as we walk alongside patients and families as they seek care for uninvited illness with the best possible chances at UPMC.”
