After four weeks of national competition, the UPMC CancerCenter Pink Glove Dance video came in 9th place with nearly 4,000 votes in a contest that is fast becoming an annual tradition during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
More than 200 UPMC CancerCenter employees participated in the national Pink Glove Dance competition to raise awareness for breast cancer and vie with more than 200 other videos for the $10,000 top prize. If UPMC had won, the money would have been donated to Dignity Robes, a Pennsylvania nonprofit that makes hospital robes for women undergoing radiation treatments. Voting took place in October through Facebook.

The contest, first held last year, is sponsored by Medline, a medical supplies manufacturer that makes a pink glove used by healthcare workers.
