UPMC Again Receives Top Score on Vibrant Pittsburgh Index Designation

UPMC has again received a top score of 95% across nine assessment areas for the Vibrant Pittsburgh index designation. Since the Index began in 2019,UPMC has received the top designation as a Vibrant Champion for all five years. Receiving a designation means that a company is working to improve the local area through leading diversity, equity and inclusion practices.
Vibrant Pittsburgh assists organizations with building diversity and inclusion strategies, and provides businesses with the blueprint to create a thriving workplace culture. Vibrant Pittsburgh and the Allegheny Conference on Community Development have designed a way to measure diversity, equity and inclusion practices across the region using the Vibrant Index.
Promoting and sustaining a culture of inclusion has a significant impact on every aspect of UPMC.
“Our focus on diversity, equity and inclusion and promoting a culture where all perspectives are valued is vital for both our workforce and the care we provide,” said David Bubas, senior director, UPMC Center for Engagement and Inclusion.
