Police officers from the Pittsburgh chapter of the Renegade Pigs Motorcycle Club spread a little holiday cheer this season at theUPMC Trauma and Burn Center.
Eight officers from the group arrived just before Christmas with unwrapped gifts for the children.

“We wanted to find a unit with children who had a great need this time of year and we chose this one,” said Chuck Frey, an executive board member of the club’s Pittsburgh chapter.

The Renegade Pigs Motorcycle Club is a charitable non-profit organization composed of law enforcement officers and firefighters who share a love of American motorcycles.

“These are things we have in common.  We’re all police officers;  we all love to ride American motorcycles and we love to do stuff like this,” Mr. Frey said. “It’s not just about riding on motorcycles with no goal.  This is why we exist. What better goal than helping kids.”
