Our community is comprised of caring people who come together in times of need. As we enter the holiday season, many of us will be consoling friends and neighbors who may be losing a trusted doctor or the bonds of a work family.
The dedicated physicians and staff at UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson are here, as we always have been, caring for our community.
UPMC is here to care for you and your loved ones.
When demand for UPMC services increases, we prioritize and we respond to the needs of our community.
For decades, today, and in the future, our teams at UPMC Horizon–Shenango Valley in Farrell, UPMC Horizon–Greenville and UPMC Jameson in New Castle remain dedicated to caring for you.
Led by Dave Patton, a lifelong member of our community and the hospitals’ president, we are prepared to meet the increased demand for care. Additional inpatient beds have opened, and colleagues from across UPMC are stepping in to help.
Our Emergency Departments are fully staffed by expert physicians and teams, open around the clock. UPMC Jameson is proud to serve as the region’s cardiac care destination with a 24/7 interventional heart program. Families in Mercer and Lawrence counties benefit from nationally recognized care brought by UPMC Magee-Womens, UPMC Children’s and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
UPMC is here with many gratifying job opportunities.
At a recent job fair hosted by UPMC Horizon, we welcomed dozens of new team members, with many hired on the spot.
Over the past year, we’ve added 25 new physicians across specialties, many trained locally through our residency programs. Our UPMC Jameson School of Nursing continues to grow, preparing the caregivers of tomorrow.
We invite exceptional individuals to join us in delivering world-class care to our community.
UPMC is here to provide the services you need.
All of us at UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson remain committed to ensuring vital health care services are available. This year alone, we’ve made a number of significant investments, including:
– A new UPMC Western Behavioral Health adult unit at UPMC Jameson, set to open in 2025, providing much-needed inpatient behavioral health services.
– A $1.5 million Emergency Department expansion at UPMC Horizon–Shenango Valley, increasing capacity by 40 patients per day.
– A new vault for a second linear accelerator at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, enhancing access to life-saving radiation oncology treatments.
– UPMC Children’s Rehabilitation Therapies at UPMC Jameson, offering expertise from UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
– Expansion of the UPMC Horizon Family Medicine Residency Program, opening a new practice in New Castle to serve more people in need of a primary care physician.
These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to building a stronger, healthier future for Mercer, Lawrence and surrounding counties.
UPMC stands ready to care for you — providing life-changing care and opportunities.
Together, we will keep building a resilient and thriving community.
