Last weekend, UPMC, in partnership with the Wilkinsburg Sanctuary Project for Peace, Wilkinsburg ministers, the Community Vaccine Collaborative and Hosanna House, immunized 1,000 community members against COVID-19.
Getting doses to communities that have experienced a disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic must be a priority as vaccine supply increases. Despite reports of vaccine hesitancy, many organizations have been overwhelmed with calls from community members who want the vaccine.
